templates

Hi,
I have cretade a document with an attached template in office 97. i have
just started using word2000 how do I make this template available off the
file>new menu. thanks
 
You have to save what you have created as a Template. Go to "Save" or "Save
as..." if you've already neamed it and in the box at the bottom labelled
"Save as type:" click the arrow at the side and choose: "Document Template
(*.dot).

Under normal operations this will automatically save the document as a
Template in the Template Folder.

Then when you click File/New you should see your new template listed.
