Templates in word 2003

I had some document templatees in Word 2000 that I would like to use in Word
2003. The template I am interested in is one that has styles and margins
preset. I cannot find where the *.dot files are kept in office 2003.

They are by default stored in a hidden folder which can be accessed by
entering
%appdata%\Microsoft\Templates
in the address bar of your Windows Explorer or Browser.
Or
Check Tools > Options > File LOcations > User Templates.
