Template review setting not carried to doc.

Al

I created a template and in the template I have tracking on and the display
for review on the reviewing tool bar is set to Final. However, when I
double click on the template, the new doc which is created has tracking on
but the display is set to Final with Markup. I would like the new doc to
initiate with view set to Final. Where can I set this?
WORD 2002.
Thanks

You can't, without a macro. Too many people were sending out documents with
track changes in them so when you create or open a macro with track changes
turned on, it will show Final with Markup. You can actually disable the
reviewing toolbar, but I don't think that is what you are seeking. Remember
though, that sending out a doucment with changes marked can be very
embarrassing.
