Template: Perm Default Changes

I have made a new template besides the "Normal" template. I have added it to
the default location within Microsoft and it is an option each time I select
"New".

However I would like to change the default setting of the lines (circles,
boxes, arrows) to always be a certain color and weight whenever I use THAT
template.
What I have tried is to:
*create a line,
*change the color and weight,
*right clicked on the line,
*selected Set Auto default shape
* deleted that line object
* re-saved the template

Next time I went to open the template....default "normal" line settings.

How do I change the line settings for THAT template and not the "NORMAL"
template?

When you open it to make revisions, make sure that you open it as a template
and not a document. Save it when you are finished under the same name to
take the place of the original one.

Ok that is what I did, Im fairly sure. So if I draw a line, change the color
and weight of the line, set the auto default, then delete the object, save it
again as a template, then the defaulty auto shape color and weight should
stay with it?

I'm not sure what it is that you're deleting.

Presumably the line, which doesn't need to be in the template.
