With Outlook 6.0 opening up a new message means Word (XP in my case)
is my e-mail editor. That's fine. The problem is when it opens the style
is not what I would like. In this case the font is defaulting to White. It
also appears to have extra spacing specified for before each paragraph.

I want to change some of these defaults. I would assume they are in
some sort of a template, but I can't find any MS Word templates that are sit
up this way. I did find a EMAIL template and Normal as well as a bunch
more, some I made and sum fun ones, but they are all fine. Also Normal is
fine. So where are these settings coming from and how can I change them?

Yes I did search for system and hidden files.

Note: The problem seems to be with the default styles. I can change
the styles, but for some reason I don't seem to be able to save the changes
even after checking the box that should cause them to change.

There is no such thing as Outlook 6.0. Outlook is Outlook 97, 98, 2000,
2002 (aka XP) and 2003.

I am having EXACTLY the same problem - found your post
when searching. Shall advise if/when I find the answer -
would appreciate you doing the same.
