Template folders and tabs

I have created a new folder in my templates folder in Word. When I open word
and choose File -> New, the template folder does not show up. The other
folders that I have in there do, but not the one I just created. This has
worked on other PC's, but not on this one. I have checked the attributes and
it is not a hidden folder.

Did you make sure to put at least one template file in the newly created
folder? If not, you won't see a tab for it in Word.

The tab won't show up until there is at least one template in that folder.

For more on the different kinds of templates, tabs on the file new dialog,
and locations of templates folders see
