Template didn't save

Hi...

Using Word 2003 on Windows XP Pro, I saved a template from e-mail to my
desktop. I opened it up and saved as a document template so it would show
up in my templates folder. I saw the Blank Document template in the
location that I saved this one in. When I go into Word/File/New, I see the
Blank Document but not my new template.

Thanks,
Linda

G'Day Linda,

In Word:
Tools>Options
File Locations (tab)
Copy down the location for 'User Templates' (if necessary select
'User Templates' and click 'Modify' to read it, then click 'Cancel')
Close

Move the new Template to that location.

Remember this location - put all of your OWN Templates there!

I looked in there and it appears the office options are not available. It's
grayed out. She also didn't have My Pictures in the My Documents folder. I
think something is wrong with her set up. I create and save templates all
the time and on one computer and I save it them to a network drive and have
my office programs set up to open the templates from there but I use Office
2000.

I wanted to make sure I did it correctly in 2003 but I do think there could
be something wrong with her Office installation. I have also never saved a
template attachment that someone else made.

Thanks,
Linda
