template applied on bottom toolbar

I'm using PP2003. What generates the template file name in the bottom toolbar
(to the right of the slide x of x ) ? I thought it was the name of the .pot
file that was applied to the file using the "Apply a design template." If so,
when I applied a new template to a file, this toolbar is still showing the
preceding template .pot file that was applied. Any ideas?

Hmm. I renamed the slide master, saved the file, closed it, and reopened it.
The old name is still there. Further, I went into my templates folder and
deleted the old template file with the name that still appears, as well as
renaming the .pot file that is the currently applied design.

Is there another place I should be looking/changing?

Actually, I did mention I was using PP2003. But, when I repeated the steps
you describe again, low and behold, it changed. I think this was a case of
PEBKAC. ;)

thanks John for helping me get this resolved.
