Temp lock and unlock other users forms.

Is there a simple way to temporary lock all users forms?

When the database is uploading data from an external file (takes about
30 sec.) and a user is editing data at the same time, the MS-Access
database will crash. Therefore I want to lock all users forms during
that time.

Using bound forms, there is no way to lock the form from accessing the data
while you are doing maintenance, so just force a closing. You can set a
timer to look at the table and close the database. Try a variation of the
Kick em off code:

although it will not help for people already in the form, if you had a
table that contained a yes/no field, then you could modify all of the
necessary forms to query that field and have them NOT open if the field
said no (route to another form that says temporarily not available).
(Probaby best to do whereever the form is being called from rather than
the formitself.)
