temp folder

I want to remove the Read-Only privileges of my Windows
temp folder. However, when I uncheck Read-Only, the next
time I go in to see if the changes worked, the Read-Only
box is checked again. I am listed under Control
Panel/Accounts as the Computer Administrator.

The box actually is not checked, but has a shadowed check-mark in it.
Windows does not support the R/O attribute for folders, so the folder
currently is not write-protected.
