Thxs. Pa,
I truly believed that the contents of this temp fldr. was **safe** to
delete.... I have deleted the contents in the C:\windows\temp fldr.
however I was surprised to have uninstall info, etc... in this fldr. I
just deleted mine, however I haven't emptied the trash. Many files have
the read only attribute, etc... and many, Windows doesn't want to delete,
but I deleted them because I know they are not needed on the next boot.
Appears, Windows will put the files back... tricky after you close the
folder !!
So, W-XP **would never** let any needed system file be deleted, correct ??

After rebooting, you can safely choose to delete everything in
C:\Documents and Settings\[username]\Local Settings\Temp. Windows won't
allow you to delete anything needed during the current boot.
