Using Win XP Home. Under C:\windows\temp is it ok to delete all files AND
folders? Also for C:\Documents and Settings\(my Name)\Local Settings\Temp?
Yes, but do it after a REBOOT. Sometimes these files are sitting there
(after an install typically) waiting for the next reboot to run and/or
clean up themselves. So reboot first, then go in and delete them; you may
find that some are actually already gone after the reboot.
The Disk Cleanup system tool will also (by default) delete these temp
files, but only those that are more than a week old.
