Temp files?-Disk cleanup misses them in Vista

Jeff

Hi,
Some help here please?
In disk cleanup; it says Temp files; and when I use disk cleanup, it
supposedly sees them.(There's a box to check in disk cleanup that says Temp
files) but it always says 0 kb. I check it anyway. I then run disk cleanup.
Afterwards, when I type %temp% in search; I get Temp and temp-looks like the
same folder, but nothing was deleted?
Wasn't there a way in XP to designate how long files stayed in there? and
why doesn't disk clean up see them?
Also, have a shredder that WILL shred, but have to manually go to the
folder and highlight all files.
Sort of a pita, any suggestions on how to run it like a task? it's from O&O.

Hi Jeff,

Alter the "LastAccess" value for cleaning the Temporary files using Disk Cleanup utility:
http://windowsxp.mvps.org/cleantemp.htm
(This applies to Windows Vista as well.)
