Temp Directory Size

I am trying to create a photo CD but I receive an error
message telling me my temp directory is not large
enough. How can I change the size? After running Disk
Defragmenter I have 3.5 GB of free space on my hard drive.
 
You can't. If you have 3.5GiByte free disk space then you have space for 3.5 GiByte of space. Unless Quota's are enabled (typically used in corporate settings).

Programs often guess at an error. Probably what happened is that a write failed and it's just guessing that you don't have enough space, or similar. Where, when, and what are you doing when the error occurs. What program tells you the error.
