Telnet connection to other systems fails

I have Windows 2000 Prof with SP4. I'am able to ping to a
few machines running a host of OS like SCO OpenServer
v5.0.5 etc., but a telnet to these machines fail with a
message "Could not open a connection to host on port 23 :
Connect Failed". To the same machines I am able to telnet
from a Win-NT (SP6) machine without any problems.

Please help!
