=====================

When I selected it for download, no size appeared.

It also doesn't it show: size, progress, time, while downloading?

Seems odd.

I cancelled the download.

I cancelled the download.

The zipped archive is only 86k in size (says so at web page).

I got it, a test of the archive showed no errors, it looks good to me.

From the manual (yes, it even has a manual)
1. Introduction

TED Notepad is a handy freeware editor for true plain text. It looks
like the original Windows Notepad and provides many features and tools
for quick, easy and advanced editing. The light-weight application fits
on a floppy or USB and loads instantly with no installation required.
Offers many text-processing functions and tools, many hotkeys and
additional clipboards. You will find several innovative features too.

Could you, please, specify, which link have you tried? (there are 8
versions of them - unicode, re clone, ... :))

I tried them myself and all seemed to be ok. But I recall that there
were some difficulties on the part of the webspace provider in the
past.

If the download does not work or somthing, try a minute later. And,
please, report to me, so that I could settle it with my provider.
Thank you.

Kindest Regards,

I used: http://jsimlo.sk/notepad/

The only thing that showed for size, progress, time was question marks.

I just tried it again and the same thing happened.

Thanks for the response.

You're welcome. Actually I like the look of this editor, I've installed it
and have started using it. Although not as a Notepad replacement which the
author says you can do, I don't want to muck around with my registry
settings to do that.

I also got ??? while DL'ing but put this down to a server issue not a
problem with the file itself, which seems OK to me.

Win32pad is better anyway.

Oh, really? And how is that? As I see the difference right now,
Win32pad has a toolbar and there it is. TED Notepad seems to cover all
other features of Win32pad, or at least almost all of them.
Furthermore, there is no manual for Win32pad, no light version (without
richedit), only a little of text tools, no clips, very few user
settings. Now tell me, where Win32pad outstands TED Notepad, 'cos I
could not find it..

But you have had to post a link, haven't you? :))
