I Have been trying to setup a network between my Custom 1.6 AMD Athlon XP
1900, running XP Pro SP2, 768 mb of SDram, NEC, CD Rom, DVDRW IDE1008, NVidia
GeForce2 MX 100/200 and the Client running ME, HP 834G Pavilion., with 384
RD on board Vidio, Hp 8230 CD Burner, and a cd ROm. Trying to use 2 Network
cards, crossover cable. Both Machines can share printers & Files but the
Client cannot access internet connect unless one of the two below are set: I
put client PC in my trusted zone and STILL set the internet zone to medium,
or I disable my firewall completely relying on XP's Firewall. XP machine is
using Computer Associates eTrust EZ Armor 2005 while the ME machine is using
CA. eTrust EZ Armor LE.

Will provide more info if needed. Thanks in advance.

You cannot have the client machine running a firewall.

The Xp machine which gives internet access is also managing the firewall and
protects the Me Machine.

The EZ Armor firewall is a re-branded version of ZoneAlarm. You're
seeing the expected behavior, as described here:

Running two firewalls on the host computer is very likely to cause
problems. Use either ZoneAlarm or XP's Firewall, but not both.

Running a firewall on the client machine is fine. Firewalls block
unsolicited incoming traffic. They don't block access to Internet
sites that you request. I have no problems on my ICS client that runs
ZoneAlarm.
