TCP/IP is not enabled

When I run network connection "REPAIR"
Start > Control Panel > Network Connections > REPAIR
I get a pop-up window which says

Windows could not finish repairing the problem because the
following action cannot be completed:
TCP/IP is not enabled for this connection.
Cannot proceed.
What I need are suggestions. Things to try. Things to look for.
Tnx,
Charles

Try this:

Right-click the connection, select Properties, and if TCP/IP isn't
installed or enabled, do so.
