TCP/IP has reached the security limit.....

Hi
I have notice recently that when my computer is sitting idle, although it is
connected to my Belkin modem by ethernet, when I try to go to a link I get an
"Offline message, and do I want to try again". This nomally connects me and
away I go, however this is becoming annoying and on a few occaisions I have
had to restart my computer to get the browsers to connect.

In the event viewer I get the following:

TCP/IP has reached the security limit imposed on the number of concurrent
TCP connect attempts.

I use Windows firewall.
Any suggestions?

There's a limitation came with SP2, tcp/ip stack is restricted up to
10 connections at the same time.

Its linked straight to a trojan and will infect and compromise your network
security
check this out to what i found as i tryed to apply this infected patch
thanks to Trendmicro im safe from it going any further then the quarantine
folder ....

Infected File : EvID4226Patch.exe
Virus Name : HKTL_EVID.AF

Type: Hacking Tool

In the wild: No
Reported detections:
Low

Description:

Hacking tools are programs that generally crack or break computer and
network security measures. Hacking tools have different capabilities
depending on the systems they have been designed to penetrate. System
administrators have been known to use similar tools - if not the same
programs - to test security and identify possible avenues for intrusion.

Hi Safe,
Thanks for the update, I suppose in the end I got the outcome I wanted, just
had to clean up the debris ;-)
Got rid of the bugs and still not dropping out.
Thanks all, what a team!

Right event id: 4226 patcher which i gave the link, is NOT trojan,
it's a kind of hack to unlimit half-open connections of TCP/IP
restricted with SP2.

The fakes might be trojan of course.
