TCP/IP Error - NetBT ???

On my Win2000 pc, I am getting an error (in my event viewer) called
NETBT. The message is below. I ran the suggested nbtstat -n but I don't
understand what I am seeing or how to know what it means by 'duplicate
name'. Can someone help me on this?

Event Type: Error
Event Source: NetBT
Event Category: None
Event ID: 4319
Date: 7/17/2003
Time: 4:04:30 PM
User: N/A
Computer: ODS-CHRIS
Description:
A duplicate name has been detected on the TCP network. The IP address of
the machine that sent the message is in the data. Use nbtstat -n in a
command window to see which name is in the Conflict state.
Data:
0000: 00 00 04 00 01 00 54 00 ......T.
0008: 00 00 00 00 df 10 00 c0 ....ß..À

Assuming that the name of your own PC is "Chris", the
message says that there is a second machine on the
network whose name is also "Chris". Rename one of
the two machines.

There are only 2 pcs on my little network. One is my personal web server
& it is called ODS-DALLAS-FTP. If I unplug that PC from my network, my pc
speed jumps from 500k download to 1.2 meg download speed, WOW!!! If I
plug it back in, my speed goes back down. I could try & rename my PC I
suppose & see if that helps. Do you think my Netopia router/hub is just
spliting the download bandwith in half because there are 2 pc's on it?

Thanks again.

Chris

Sorry, I know nothing at all about Netopia routers.
One thing I would do straight away is to look at the
network traffic that is generated by your web server.
Just make the "Connected" applet visible in the
System Tray, and watch the bytes floating past.
