I am routinely finding that my tcp/ip stack gets corrupted. When I boot
my computer, I cannot get an IP from DHCP, and if I set one manually
IPCONFIG provides no information. My resolution is to uninstall tcp/ip
and reinstall tcp/ip. Than it works for a couple of days. Any ideas?

Some program that's installed on your computer might be running
automatically at startup and corrupting the TCP/IP stack. Try turning
off all un-necessary startup programs in Start | Run | Msconfig |
Startup.
