Tasks, Outlook 2003

We have an ongoing problem with a Corporate Outlook 2003 client. The tasks
are constantly becoming corrupt. We have rebuilt the mailbox twice, after
going through the 'adjust the view' nonsense several times, and now the
problem is back. We do not import the data back into the new mailbox - these
are new tasks becoming corrupt. What causes this? Please post any
suggestions.

The errors range from outlook freezing completely to the "could not complete
the operation; one or more parameters are invalid" error.

When we remove and recreate the mailbox at the Exchange level, exporting all
previously stored data to PST first, the error and freezing go away until new
tasks are created. The 'trigger' task that causes the error to return is not
consistent. In other words, the tasks that have triggered the error do not
seem to have anything in common.

Yup. All three steps. Each time it works, and then eventually the same
issue returns.
 
Detect and Repair and/or a new mail profile does not fix it either? If that is the case, I would look to other environmentals for a possible culprit, like your Exchange server perhaps.

Correct, neither help permanently fix the problem. I would totally agree
with you, but this is the only mailbox/client experiencing the issue. Do you
think anyone at the Microsoft support line would be able to troubleshoot this
for us? The end user is one of the company's owners - I'd be happy to pay
the support cost if we could get him fixed up.
 
Figures, it has to be an owner/CEO/etc.!! Never happens to Joe or Jane Blow.

You are welcome to call PSS - they will open a ticket with you and work until it is resolved. It has proven worth the money to several people and, if they confirm it is a bug with the software, they will not charge you. Also, if they have a hotfix for this issue, you are not charged for the call or the hotfix.

What if you are not running Outlook 2003 on an Exchange Server, but just a
regular POP3? I cannot add an appointment to my calendar, get the same
invalid parameter message.
