tasks and inbox

I have outlook xp (i think 2002) is there a way to have it open to the inbox
and also show the tasks in a column on the right, left or the bottom maybe? I
want to be able to view my inbox and tasks at the same time.

Not in the same window. The Taskpad is not available when displaying a mail
folder. You can, however, right-click Tasks and choose Open in New Window.

Shawn, click on personal folders, there u find the fields to view your
messages,appointments and tasks for the day. However u can change the
settings to view for 3 days or so.
