Hi,

I am using Outlook 2009. I have created several folders that contain tasks.
Within these folders, I have created subfolders that also contain tasks.

In the Navigation Pane, when I click on "Tasks", a "My Tasks" group appears
that lists all folders and subfolders as "top-level" folders.

If possible, I would like to have the same functionality as I have with my
Inbox. In my Inbox, when I create subfolders within folders, the subfolders
do not appear as top-level folders. I am able to browse through my folder
hierarchy similar to the way I would browse through folders in Windows.

Is there anyway I can get this same functionality for my tasks?

Thanks in advance,
Paul

This is normal for the Tasks view. If you had done the same to calendars and
thne use the Calendar view, it would have behaved similarly.

Use the Folder List view.

Hi Brian,

Thanks for your response, but my tasks do not appear in Folder List View. I
am only able to see mail items in folder list view. Is there a setting I
need to change to make tasks appear in folder list view as well?

(I am also not able to see my contacts or calendar items in folder list view
- although I don't care about these as much as tasks).

Thanks again for your help,
Paul

Patently false, unless your Nav Pane view is corrupt. What you describe is
the Mail view,it seems. Press Ctrl-6 or press the button at the bottom of the
Nav Pane labeled "Folder List", not "Mail". If, after pressing Ctrl-6 you
still see only mail folders, then restart Outlook using the /resetnavpane
command switch.

I still only saw mail folders after pressing Ctrl-6, but the /resetnavpane
switch worked perfectly. Thank you. This helps me alot!
