taskbar window buttons missing

The open windows are not showing up in my taskbar, as of the last 2 days.

I have reset the group/ungroup box in the taskbar properties to try to
'wake' it up.
I also went into WORD and selected Tools/Options/View Tab and verified that
box was checked for Windows in Taskbar.

Seems like a minor problem, but makes the work I do (involving many open
windows at 1 time) very complicated.

Any ideas?

Thanks Mark. Looks like this is a fairly common problem. I guess enough so
that you have created a fix. What's the deal? Maybe your fix should be in
the MS updates.
