Taskbar will not auto-hide !!!

Has anyone seen a fix for this ...

I am running XP pro SP2 ...the taskbar is set to auto-hide but will not.
Selecting properties in the taskbar and resetting the check box allows the
taskbar to hide..but as soon as it is activated it is fixed again !

Appears to be a common problem on many newsgroups and forums but i have yet
to see a fix for this bug !!!!!!!

Try going to "Add Remove Programs", "Add Remove Windows Components",
"Networking Services", "Details". Disable (uncheck) UPnP User Interface.
After trying all of the other recommended fixes, this one proved to be a
winner. No more problems with the tray icons.
