Taskbar Resizing

For some reason, the taskbar at the bottom of the screen has doubled in
height. The bottom row is empty when I boot up the machine and the icons for
applications that I then open appear in that lower area.

There are only a few icons in quicklaunch (6), the task bar is unlocked and
I cannot 'grab' the upper bar of taskbar and pull it down (I can grab it and
pull it up).

The narrow vertical right band that used to be at the right hand side of the
last icon in quick launch is at the left of the bottom row; I cannot move it
by grabbing it.

If I switch quick launch off, the task bar drops to its normal size; if I
switch it on again, it reverts to its large size.

Any ideas on how to fix it.

TIA

Rob

1.>> Unlock the taskbar
2.>> Grab the column where your program icons and titles are displayed to
upperside by dragging the small vertical line that appears in the left side.
3.>> Now you can drag the taskbar to it's normal size.

That used to work but, unfortunately, it no longer does. That's the problem
:( ....but unfortunately not the solution :((

Ayush,

I see what you mean now. I was trying to drag horizontally - dragging
vertically works - should have read your posting more carefully :)

Glad to help you :)
