Taskbar - Registry

P

Peter Jensen

Hi,

I have a WYSE V90 client (Windows XP SP2). If I log on as a User the desktop
is almost locked.

1. As a User, I can't right click on a program on the taskbar and choose
"close alt+f4"

2. As a User, I can't resize the taskbar. I would like to have it one linie
larger.

If I logon as Administrator there is no problem. How I can make it possible
for the user? Which registry key do I have to change/create? The run command
is removed from the User interface, but not from the Administrator, so as an
Administrator I can run REGEDIT

Right-click the taskbar, click "Lock the Taskbar". That should unlock
it. Resize, then lock the Taskbar so it won't move on you If that
doesn't work:.

Hi,

Thanks for your answer.

The User can now right click on the taskbar, and resize the taskbar to for
example 5 rows. But when the User restarts, the taskbar is again 1 row. Is
it possible to USer changes permanent for the Taskbar?

Maybe, if this setting is changed: In Folder Options, View tab, select
"Remember each folder's view options".

Or:

(Line 54)
