Having trouble with the Win XP Pro taskbar not acting as it should. First, I
have the quick launch enabled next to the start button, following that
*should* be the list of running programs so I can switch but, that is where
the problem lies. The programs do not show and if I disable or unlock the
quick launch, the entire taskbar disappears including the systray. I have
attempted with no avail so far dragging it to make it larger, moving it to
different areas of the screen, and even checking the start options. Nothing
has helped and I was hoping someone may have an idea as to what is happening.
In order to switch between open programs, I must use task manager which is
getting aggravating. I don't want to have to do a reinstall if avoidable as,
running on dial-up, windows update takes way too long.
Thanks in advance for any advice,
Gordon
