Taskbar Problem

Can anyone tell me why my taskbar is still messed up after using Active
KillDisk, MadBoot format, and fdisk partition to wipt out the hard drive then
reloading Windows XP. Where does the taskbar reside that none of these
actions changed it back to the original. Can I have a bug somewhere other
than the hard drive? I've also tried Kelly's Korner to no avail. Thanks for
any help.

Did you press esc during the install to install a fresh copy of windows and
did you delete the partion and recreate it during the install? Are there any
partitions listed after using all those format programs?

Thanks for the reply hjomby. There were no partitions listed after the
Madboot format and I also used fdisk to remove the partitions. I then put the
first of eight disks I got from Hewlett Packard into the machine and
continued to put new disks in as it requested. Should I do something
different?
