Running ME, programs won't load in taskbar

Hii.

I'm running windows ME, and I know microsoft doesn't support it anymore
but the other person that uses my computer downloaded this spyware
stuff onto the computer and ever since then I have been having problems
with the taskbar. The only program that ever shows up when I open it is
Firefox. I don't understand why. I have already tryed the Kelly's
Korner thing even though I am running ME. And I have tryed properties
for my taskbar. I have tried everything I can think of. The only way I
can switch programs is Alt + Tab or by going to the task manager.

Any suggestions?
