Taskbar problem!

J

Jeff

Please Help!

My taskbar has somehow moved itself from the bottom of
the screen over to the right hand side. I can resize the
task bar but cannot move it back to the bottom. I have
checked that it is not locked but I am at a loss as to
what to do other than reinstall from scratch!

Many thanks.

Put your mouse pointer over the TaskBar and depress &
hold the Left mouse button - Move (drag) the bar until it
is placed at the bottom of the screen and release the mouse
button. Afterward, Right Click the Taskbar and Lock it.

This is simply a cosmetic issue - You wouldn't ever do a
repair install for this.

Hi,
holding down the left mouse button, point to the current taskbar and
drag it to the lower part of the screen. Now you lock the taskbar.

Please don't reinstall! That would be like using an H-bomb to
kill a fly.

Although by default the task bar appears on the bottom of the
screen, it can be on any of the sides you prefer it on. To move
it from any side to another, simply click on an unused part of it
and drag it where you want it.

If it won't move, it may be locked. In that case, right click on
it and uncheck "Lock the taskbar," then try again.

Grab a point (unoccupied) in the middle of it with the left mouse button
down, and drag the pointer to the middle of the edge where you want it.
When you let go, it will suddenly snap over

Try right clicking on the task bar just to the side of the START button and
then drag the task bar back to the bottom.

Oh you're brilliant! Thanks! The same thing happened to me, but only your
solution made sense!
