Taskbar problem

My XP taskbar just got screwed up so that the Quick Launch now no longer
works like a popup. Now all quick launch icons are visible on the task bar
(in multiple lines). Also, the notificaiton area used to be lined up in one
row. Now I have three rows of icons. Lastly, the task bar is now twice as
high as it used to be.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

Hi Jonathan,

That's how I have setup my taskbar. However, did you try unlocking the
taskbar and then moving it to single width and setting the Quick Launch off
in the Toolbars?

ThanQ...

It's easy to screw up the toolbar with an accidental drag, even when
it's supposedly locked (you can still accidentally re-order the quick
launch, at the very least.

I wish there were an option "Lock this down so securely that nothing can
ever change it in any way until you manually unset this option".

I found a "read only" switch on my C: drive, but that had a few unwanted
side effects. :)
