taskbar is on the side and not the bottom

my taskbar is on the right side of my screen, and i cant get it back to
the bottom where it was before, and i dont know how it got there
either.

Place the cursor on an unused part of the Taskbar, right click and
unlock the Taskbar. Then hold down the left mouse button and drag the
Taskbar to the position you require and lock the Taskbar.
