Taskbar Icons

Not all open applications are displaying their icons in
the taskbar (System Tray). Those that were, but are no
longer displaying icons are: SpamPal, Volume control and
Palm Hotsync. Applications whose icons are displayed
are: ZoneAlarm, Norton, NVidea (graphics card), and MS
Outlook Express e-mail notification.
I must use these icons to access the running
applications. Any ideas as to how to make them reappear?

Have you tried right clicking the START button>>Properties>>Taskbar tab>>Customise

Yes, I have tried that and it shows only four current
items. All others are past items even though they are
open and running.

In addition, most past items are shown with folders as an
icon and the spampal unbrella is labelled Windows Task
Manager.

What the heck huh?
