I changed the icon for a shortcut on the Desktop, but when the program
is minimized, the old icon appears in the taskbar (or is it system
tray?) Is there a way to change it there, too?

-------------------

1. Right-click on the shortcut with the correct icon and on the Shortcut
tab, click on Change Icon to find where the icon is kept (copy the path and
past into step 2)
2. Right-click on the shortcut with the incorrect icon and on the Shortcut
tab, click on Change Icon and paste the path from step one.

Number 2 does not work on icons in the task bar or system tray (which
one is it??)

Locate the Program "exe" file and change it's Icon.

How do I do that, with winamp.exe, for example? I tried doing so with
Irfanview, but it doesn't have the ability to change the default icon.

-------------------------

This will work for the QuickLaunch icons on the task bar (the icons that
you click once to open the application), the system tray icons cannot be
changed except for within the application (if applicable). You may be able
to change the settings of the app so that it does not stay resident in the
system tray, if you really dislike the icon that much. : )
