Taskbar gone crazy?

For some reason, no open programs are shown on the taskbar. I think it has
something to do with the quicklaunch. It's displayed at the far left of the
bar, but there is no right side size pull thing. When I disable the
quicklaunch, the taskbar dissapears until I re-enable it. Also, the windows
media toolbar has been switching places on me. Any ideas why my taskbar is
going nuts?

The only repair section I see is about doing a repair reinstall, which I
unfortunately can't do because I dont have a disk.
