Taskbar disappears, won't come back without reboot

For about 6 months now my taskbar has been disappearing and will not come
back unless I reboot. It happens approximately 2-3 times per week. I tried
running the explorer file in the run menu and that does not bring it back.
Can anyone point out what might be wrong with my system, I am running XP.

Thank you

Try asking in a XP discussion group. This one is for .NET programming
issues.

Here's how to find a XP group.

As you appear to be using a web interface, start here:

http://www.microsoft.com/communities/newsgroups/en-us/default.aspx

In the tree on the left, first open the English category, then open Windows.
In Windows, find and open the category for Windows XP.
In that category, find a group to post in.
