Task Pane

I have a task pane on my desktop. i think my daughter clicked something by
mistake. I can't get rid of it. I'd the task pane that tells about folders
and it's right over the start button. please help me. it shorten my desktop.

It's a known problem, and may very well not be your daughter's fault. There
