Task Manager

Ctrl-Alt-Delete brings up task manager page for a brief
instant, then it disappears. Graphic in Right lower
corner disappears, but only when I point my cursor on it.
Only discovered this when trying to switch users on
Outlook Express, and the thing stalled.

Anyone have any ideas ?
