Task Manager

How do I identify all the processes running in Task Manager? Some of the
processes are readily identifiable such as a program that I've specifically
activated (like iexplore.exe), but other programs running in the background
are not easy to identify. Is there some sort of "glossary" to identify
these so that unnecessary ones can be shut down? For example, what's
CCAPP.exe

Thanks.

"ccapp.exe" belongs to Norton AntiVirus, runs auto-protect and email
checking facilities.

Google is a good place to go, just type in the process name such as
"ccapp.exe" without the quotes. Also, there is a program our there called
Security task manager that tells you what the process belongs to, and if it
is a threat at all. Another program was posted here earlier, but I do not
remember the name of it.

I hit Ctrl Alt Delete and i get the logo in the taskbar, the CPU usage in the
system tray, and yet no window. I have no viruses or sypware (I am using 6
different AV and 4 AS) And it freezes both my 3.6GHz processors!

Task Manager Menu Bar and Tabs Are Not Visible

Double click anywhere on the Task Manager border to bring the menu bar and
tabs back. Do it again to hide them again. Or not. ;-)

Task Manager Lost

Task Manager might have gotten into tiny footprint mode. When this happens
it can get dragged to a little, small, wee box. Roughly 1/2" x 1 1/2". It
can even be dragged almost off screen.

This might work...

Try right clicking the Task Manager icon in the Notification Area (by your
clock), select Always on Top. Look around on your Desktop for a blue (if XP
theme) or gray box (if Classic theme) about 1/2" x 1 1/2". Double click
anywhere on the box if found.
