task manager

Hi,

When I press ctrl,alt,del the box pops up everything in box, lock computer,
log off, shut down is selectable - the task manager is not slectable

You should have kept this in the original thread. Go back to it and read
my last post to you. Go through the troubleshooting steps, questions,
etc. After you've done the work if you have more questions, come back.
Tell us what you did and the results.

If going through the troubleshooting is too complex - and there is no
shame in admitting this isn't your cup of tea - take the machine to a
professional computer repair shop (not your local version of
BigStoreUSA).

Look in the registry for:

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System]
"DisableTaskMgr"=dword:00000001

If the "DisableTaskMgr"=dword:00000001 is there change the value to 0
or simply delete the value altogther.

The standard cautions and warnings for registry editing applies.
