Task Manager Problems

The windows task manager on my computer always disappears
very quickly after I try activating it with
CTRL+ALT+DELETE.

Does anyone know if this is a virus? How can I fix this?

Yes, it's most likely a virus. While you work on cleaning it up, use the

The behavior you describe, which also often applies to
MSConfig.exe and Regedit.exe, is typical behavior of more than one
virus/worm, the three below being the most common:

W32.Klez
