task manager is not working

When i press con alt delete for task manager only the window showing actual
running processes is visible...there are not any tabs uptop to change from
performance or end task options and how do i restore this to its p[revious
working state????

hmmm. I had the same problem. I was running XP professional. maybe you need
to install the latest updates.
try that. I am not sure about the answer since i got rid of that machine. If
you do find the answer please drop a line here too. thanks.
 
Ctrl + Tab to change tabs. Alt + F4 to exit. Dbl click border or graph to toggle view mode.

.Double click on the Task Manager Frame itself
 
Double click on the grey bar at the top of the window.
