task manager help

hi, i know not to much about the technical stuff of my
computer. but i have a windows xp home edition laptop and i
am trying to get into the task manager to see if i have
that virus, the worm blaster, and so i press
ctrl+alt+delete to open it, but i can't get it to stay
open. it will open then close quickly, to quick for me to
see anything. any help would be much appreciated!

noreen,

You appear to have a different problem which is usually caused by Klez or
Yaha viruses. Users typically report that Task Manager closes as soon as it
opens. So test for this first.

There are some other causes but the above is the most common.
