Task manager doesn't open with Ctrl+Alt+Del

The task manager works when i use it from it's respective folder, but the
shortcut doesn't work.

The shortcut's located in C:\Windows|system\taskman.exe.

Now the program doesn't work even when i click on the icon!

Pls help.

this is a sure sign of a trojan being installed on your system; it's
common for them to prevent task manager from running so it can't be used
to kill them.

run a full scan w/ the usual tools and hope for the best. probably best
done in safe mode. try ad-aware and spy-bot for starters. once the system
is cleaned, be cautious - I'd back up all personal data and prepare to do
a full-up clean reinstall if it seems like the system is still iffy.
