Task Manager Disappears-Win XP Pro

HI
when I select TASK MANAGER it appears on the screen but disappears after
about a second or two. Also the same thing happens when I select
Run/REGEDIT.

The PC does not do this in safe mode.

as I cannot disable processes in the task bar how can I find which process
is not compatible with my windows system???

any help or suggestions appreciated

The behavior you've described is typical behavior of more than one
virus/worm, the three below being the most common:

W32.Klez

W32.Spybot.Worm

I have been all through the procedures for removing these worms but the
problem still exists
thanks for your advice though
