Task Manager crashes

Any attempt to run the Task Manager results in the Task Manager
flashing up and going away. The icon appears on the task bar (the
little icons on the right showing cpu loading). However, when I mouse
over that icon, it disapears.

I run Norton Anti virus, and it claims my system is clean. I also run
spybot, and it claims I am clean from spyware.

My system has no other problems that I am aware of.

What the heck do I do?

Paul

Update nortons and scan again or try a different virus scan. This is
symptoms of serveral common viruses.

This behavior can be caused by a virus. One of three:

W32.Spybot.Worm
http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/w32.spybot.worm.html

W32.Klez.Worm
http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/[email protected]

W32.Yaha.Worm
http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/[email protected]

If neither of the above applies:

Run this Free Online Virus Scan

Thanks! I'll go through these lists of suggestions...

Just seems odd that Norton might be missing these worms and viruses...
