task manager crashed

I am having problems with my task manager. If I try and
open it with ctrl/alt/delete, it flashes on the screen
for about 1/2 second and disappears.

I have also tried to access it from the start menu
using "run program" but it does the same thing.

Can anyone help me??

w32.spybot worm disables NAV, Msconfig, Regedit and Task Manager:

Rename regedit.exe to regedit.com then:

Download then Merge the edit on line 251 then delete all the files mentioned
in the above link.
