Until a few days ago (I don't know when it changed), programs I opened would
be lined up, first opened just to the right of the "quick start" icons, then
the second to the right of that, etc. All of a sudden, the first is showing
up just to the LEFT of the icons on the right side of the task bar, and new
programs get stacked so I have to go through them with up and down arrows. I
liked it better the old way! How can I change it back? Please and thanks for
your help.

Hi Ed,

It sounds like your Quicklanuch toolbar has been made the full length of
the taskbar (or most of it). Right click on the Taskbar and uncheck
"Lock the Taskbar". Then you should be able to see the Quicklaunch bar
and where it ends. Drag the right side of it back next to the last icon
in the toolbar. You should go back to a single bar. You can then right
click on the Taskbar and check "Lock the Taskbar".

Yea Rah! The Task Bar was NOT locked, but your answer made me take a close
look to the left of the program that was up in the system tray, and i could
see the ability to move some "divider" to the left. That solved it. Give
yourself a pat on the back; and THANK YOU!

You're welcome. If you lock the Taskbar it will prevent that from
happening again. Glad it was a simple fix. Take care,
